Meet the Board

Sandra Royer, Chair

Sandra is Director of Housing Management at Brent Housing Partnership (BHP). She has experience in human resources management, housing management and a wide involvement in working with voluntary bodies and community activists.

Eric Xuereb, Vice- Chair

Eric has over 30 years’ experience as a lawyer in private practice and in local government where he was head of legal services with a number of Councils, including Broxbourne Borough Council from 1996 to 1998.

Anne Shearman

Anne brings over 35 years experience of working in the public and private sector, as well as experience from running her own business. By profession Anne is an organisational psychologist.

Christine Mitchell

Christine has 25 years experience in the Finance industry, and 4 years experience as a Broxbourne Borough Councillor. She also works as a volunteer in the local community.

Shoaib Gillani

Shoaib has been actively involved on the Residents Panel, as a Resident Inspector and in other areas. Outside of BHA he is part of the Broxbourne Transport Forum and has also taken part in events for Co-Op members and VSDAW. He has experience in retail, office based and in an accounts department.

Karen Forbes-Jackson

Karen has working in the housing sector for over 6 years as a senior Human Resources (HR) professional. Currently Karen is the director of HR for Network Housing Group.

Cllr. Malcolm Aitken

Malcolm is a Broxbourne Council Labour Party councillor for the Waltham Cross ward.

Mary Stevenson

Mary has managed staff in the retail and tourism sectors. She has attended seminars and workshops on Customer Service, Marketing, Advertising and Purchasing (international and local).

Mike Curtis

Mike is a qualified accountant with 24 years experience of financial management primarily in local government sector. He is also on the Board of Trustees of a development charity and has been a school governor.

Patricia Milner

Patricia brings 25 years of experience working in the social housing sector, with 14 years of working at a director level. Currently Patricia is involved in voluntary work around the borough.

Cllr. Paul Seeby

Paul is a Broxbourne Council Conservative Party councillor for the Flamstead End Ward.

Stewart Heath

Stewart has trained as a graphic designer, and has been an Art Director on the Magazine Circuit. He has experience as a lecturer at Hertford Regional College, and has trained in student counselling, and equal opportunities.

Tanya Alexander

Tanya has experience serving on her children’s PTA (Parent – Teachers Association). She currently works in the NHS, and helps when she can with Meals on Wheels and weight watchers classes.
